The crossing from Villa O’Higgins to Puerto Candelario Mancilla takes place across the stunning Lake O’Higgins, where you can admire breathtaking landscapes as you sail through its turquoise waters.
This route allows you to embark on an expedition to El Chaltén, Argentina, following the Route of the Glaciers, crossing the Dos Lagunas Border Pass on an unforgettable 21 km journey that connects Candelario Mancilla (Chile) with Lago del Desierto (Argentina).
The route is divided into two sections:
• The first section, from Candelario to the border landmark, is approximately 16 km of public gravel road.
• The second section, on the Argentine side, covers about 5 km through a deep and beautiful forest, ending at the northern tip of Lago del Desierto in Argentina.
The boat trip takes approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes.
